He edited a poetry magazine Itan (Heresy) in 1914, Shizen (Nature) in 1919, and Geirin (Literary World) in 1938. His works are characterized by brightness and boldness. Is also a skillful calligrapher. Author of the collected poems Manjushage (Lycaris Radiata) and Kusukago (Grass Basket) and edited the complete works of Monk Saigyo.
