Without the sight of both eyes Tsuruzawa studied the samisen under Gon-emon Takezawa.
Career
Tomojiro Tsuruzawa rose to become the leading samisen player at Takemotoza Theater (closed in 1767). Later he collaborated with Masadayu to compose music for several outstanding plays, including some plays by Chikamatsu.
