Studied in Germany from 1889 until 1895.
Career
Appointed professor at the Third Higher School in Kyoto, then professor at Kyoto University (1899), director of its Medical Department and president of the university for several terms. Later he was made emeritus professor of same. In 1929, appointed director of the Peers' School.
