She served successively as a teacher of English Language School of Yokohama Y.W.C.A. and president of Japan Women's Academy for Study of English Language. Returned to Diet five times. Was central committee member of Socialist Party and later became head of funds section of that party. Is chairman of the board of trustees of Yokohama Citizens' Credit Association.
