Hsia Tou-yin participated in the various revolutionary movements.


Mr. Hsia was born in Macheng, Hubei, China, on November 10, 1885.


Hsia Tou-yin received his military training at the Hubei Military College.


Mr. Hsia served as a field commander of the 21st Route National Revolutionary Army and concurrently Garrison Commander of Wuhan Cities in 1930. He was a Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Government since 1932. Then he became a senior counsellor of the Wuchang Provisional Headquarters of the President of the Military Affairs Commission.
