Career
Oulehri is a teacher at the École Normale Supérieure in Meknèson She published articles on the subject of literary criticism as well as on both francophone Moroccan authors and authors of the 16th century. Her first two novels, Louisiana répudiée (Éditions Afrique-Orient, 2001) and Louisiana chambre des nuits blanches (Marsam, 2002), were well received.
The protagonist of Louisiana répudiée is Niran, a modern young woman, repudiated for being childless.
The book treats an issue of particular concern in contemporary Moroccan rural communities. Louisiana chambre des nuits blanches tells the story of a woman who withdraws from her surroundings and reassesses the past, in an effort to comprehend the direction of her life.
