Education
Began his education under, Shuyo Yoshimura, and then under Soan Ikeda in Tajima (Hyogo Prefecture). Subseqently he began to teach at the Choyo-kan, a school for children of his clan.
Career
He founded the Nisshokan, a private school and was associated with his disciple Aijiro Oku in founding the Nisshokan, a private middle school (1870).
