Robinson, Tracy was born on December 22, 1833 in at Clarendon, New York, United States. Son of Chauncey and Damaris (Fenn) Robinson.

Education

Educated at Brockport (New York) Collegiate Institute. Entered at Rochester U. and Antioch College, O., 1852.

Career

Superintendent Mississippi Central & Tennessee Railroad, 1857-1861. Fiscal and shipping agent and assistant superintendent Panama Railroad, 1861-1874. American vice-consul at Colon, 1863-1868, and 1892.

Editor Panama Star and Herald, 1876-1878.

Author: Song of the Palm and Other Poems, 1889. Selections from the Poetry of John Payne, 1906.

Panama—Recollections of Forty-six Years, 1907. Edited 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th and 6th edits of Panama Patchwork with introduction by the late James Stanley Gilbert.
