As of December 2015, Moran"s YouTube channel has over 1 million subscribers. He has one brother named Blake. Trevor first joined YouTube in 2008 at age 10.
He began uploading videos of himself dancing to popular songs at the Apple Store.
(These videos became known as "Apple Store Dances") In August 2012, he joined a collab channel on YouTube known as O2L (Our2ndLife) with members Connor Franta, Justin "Jc" Caylen, Kian Lawley, Ricky Dillon, and Sam Pottorff, which hit 3 million subscribers after disbanding in December 2014. In 2012, Moran auditioned for The X Factor by performing LMFAO"s "Sexy and I Know lieutenant" at age thirteen.
Moran received four votes from the judges, but was later eliminated during the "Boot Camp" stage. He was then chosen to be part of the live auditions held in San Francisco.

In June 2014, Moran released a single titled "Echo" and later another 3 singles titled "XIAT" (pronounced "anxiety"), "Now or Never," and "Slay" from his European Parliament titled XIAT. On December 9, Moran released his debut European Parliament XIAT charting at number 1 on United States Heat. In June 2015, Moran released his new single "I Wanna Fly" and then on September 30th 2015 he released a music video coming out as gay.
On December 28, 2015, Ricky Dillon released "Steal the Show," where Moran was featured with the former Our2ndLife member.
On January 22, 2016, Moran released his second European Parliament Alive with 3 singles titled "Got Maine Feelin" Like," "Cold Soul," and "Alive," along with "I Wanna Fly" and "Let"s Roll." In February 2016, Moran announced a music video for "Got Maine Feelin" Like."
In February 2016, Moran commenced the Alive + G O L Doctorate tour, also with former O2L member Ricky DIllon. Moran details his struggle with depersonalization disorder and anxiety attacks in a November 2014 Our2ndLife video and in his song titled "XIAT."
On September 30, 2015, Moran first hinted about his sexuality in his music video for "I Wanna Fly." On October 9, 2015, Moran publicly came out as gay in a YouTube video.
In his 6 minute video, Moran states that he was "frightened by the word gay" at first, but is now comfortable with his sexuality. Moran also described himself as being in a "glass closet," where others could clearly see him.
