Trey Parker was born on October 19, 1969, in Conifer, Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. He is a son of Randy Parker, a geologist, and Sharon Parker, an insurance broker. He has an older sister, Shelley Parker.
Trey Parker graduated from the Evergreen High School and attended Berklee College of Music. Parker’s interest for animation can be traced back to his love for the comedy group Monty Python and in his sixth grade, he wrote a sketch titled The Dentist which he performed on stage. He later went to the University of Colorado, Boundler, to study music and Japanese. While at the university he met Matt Stone who would later become his best friend and business collaborator. Parker never graduated from the university. He was too wrapped up in filmmaking to attend classes.
Trey Parker started his career in 1992 by founding a production company along with Stone, McHugh, and Ian Hardin, named Avenging Conscience. In the same year, Parker and Stone created the short animated film The Spirit of Christmas, which featured four foul-mouthed boys and an irreverent portrayal of Jesus Christ. In the year 1993, Parker has written, directed as well as starred in the film named Cannibal! The Musical. The film was based on a true episode which has happened in Colorado’s history.
South Park debuted on August 13, 1997, and was an immediate sensation. Featuring absurdist plot twists, casual profanity, and a skewed take on adult topics, the show attracted millions of viewers, a huge amount of critical attention, and the censure of, for example, religious organizations. Within five months of its debut, it was the highest-rated program on Comedy Central.
Parker branched out into live-action film with the comedy Orgazmo (1997), which he wrote, directed, and starred in, appearing as a Mormon who stumbles upon a career as an adult-film star. In 1998 he starred with Stone in BASEketball, and the following year they released a full-length South Park film. He also collaborated with Stone on the short-lived television show That’s My Bush! (2001) and the film Team America: World Police (2004), for which Parker wrote and performed most of the soundtrack. The pair later wrote the satirical musical The Book of Mormon (2011), about Mormon missionaries in Uganda.
In 2013, Parker and Stone established their own production studio, Important Studios. In 2017 he voiced the character of a villain - a former 1980s child star - in the animated film Despicable Me 3.
Trey Parker is best known as a talented animator, actor, producer, director and writer, who over the years has recorded major commercial success from the inception of his company in 1992 with business partner Matt Stone. It is recorded that one of his series titled "That’s My Bush" earns him up to $1 million per episode and in 2007 he entered a contract with Comedy Central alongside his partner Matt Stone which earned them a whopping sum of $75 million.
In 2011 he has received three 2011 Tony Awards co-nominations for "The Book of Mormon": 'Best Book of a Musical' and 'Best Original Score' along Matt Stone as well as 'Best Direction of a Musical' with Casey Nicholwa.

And it’s really terrible in about the second act." He also said: "At the end of the day, if the mass delusion of a religion makes you happy, makes your family work better, is that bad or good?"
