Tricia Sullivan taught secondary school English in the US before going to the United Kingdom. She wrote her first book Lethe in 1995. All in all, Sullivan has published more than ten works, which have been translated into eight languages. Her latest novel is Sweet Dreams. It was published in 2017.
Tricia joined LIV.DAT in 2017 to work on "Transient Classification in the LSST Data Deluge" with Iain Steele. With the aid of the Liverpool Telescope’s data archives, Sullivan will test and develop automatic detection methods for variable active galactic nuclei (AGN), which are a major contaminant in the optical detection of transients.
Tricia Sullivan won the Arthur C. Clarke Award for her novel Dreaming in Smoke. Her novels Maul, Lightborn, and Occupy Me were also shortlisted for the Clarke award, in 2004, 2011, and 2017. Sullivan's works have also been shortlisted for the BSFA Award, the Tiptree Award, and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award.
Tricia Sullivan is married to Steve Morris. They have three children.
