Tsukasa Okamura

Background

Tsukasa Okamura was born in Chiba Prefecture. He was the third son of Chuemon.

Education

Tsukasa Okamura graduated from the Law Department of Tokyo University (1892). Studied civil law in Germany and France.

Career

Tsukasa Okamura was appointed assistant professor of Kyoto University (1899). He became professor at Kyoto University and then dean of its law department. Resigned as professor and entered the bar (1914), subsequently becoming a leading lawyer in Kansai. He lectured on French civil law at Kyoto University and Osaka Higher School of Commerce.
