Ujiyasu Hojo was born in 1515. He was the eldest son of Ujitsuna.

Career
Having defeated the forces of the Uesugi, Ashikaga, Satomi and Takeda families, he controled the entire Kanto District and broyght about the golden age of his family. Besides being a distinguished warrior, he was a good administrator who promoted learning. He himself was a gifted waka poet.
