Editor The Baptist Observer 5 years. Editor The Baptist to 1931. Chairman many years of social service coms.

Indiana Baptist Convention until 1917, also of Northern Baptist Convention. President of Chicago Baptist Ministers’ Conference. Organization and relief work among Chicago unemployed, 1931-1932.
