Utkarsh Verma

Background

Utkarsh Verma was born to farmer Dhirendra Kumar Verma and Kusum Verma on 1 November 1985 in Lakhimpur Kheri district.

Education

He studied at Saint Don Bosco"s College, Lakhimpur and subsequently was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) majoring in Marketing and International Business while studying at the Institute of Transportation Studies Institute of Management (Institute of Transportation Studies-IM) of Greater-Noida, India.

Career

Early

Utkarsh Verma worked in the corporate communication wing of a telecom company. Utkarsh Verma was elected to the Vidhansabha from Lakhimpur Sadar in a by-election of 2010 and retained his seat in 2012.

Achievements

• A member of Samajwadi Party, he won his first Assembly election at the age of just 25, and became 2010 India"s youngest Modern Language Association. HIs first campaigned achieved a margin of 17589 and in 2012 a margin of 37,993.
