KONDAKOV, Vadim was born on April 8, 1886.
1911 graduate Natural Sciences Department, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Kazan’ University.
From 1911 taught at girls’ and boys’ high-schools, business colleges and Teachers’ Training Institute in Ufa. 1916 commissioned by Ufa Province former local government authority to organize first Tatar-Bashkir teachers’ training seminary in Russia. After 1917 October Revol helped to organize new schools in Urals, Western Siberia and Altay (Yekaterinburg, Tomsk, Biysk and Permanent’).
Lectured and taught on teachers’ training courses, inspected schools and helped to develop local teaching programs. 1920 began teaching at higher educational establishments. 1923-1924 ed, pedag journal Na tret’yem fronte, Permanent’.
1923-1930 worked at Permanent’ University, then at Sverdlovsk University and Steel Institute. 1925-1927 ed, pedag journal Ural'skiy uchitel', Sverdlovsk. 1932-1947 head Chair of Physical Geography, Permanent’ Teachers’ Training Institute.
From 1947 worked at Kazan’ Teachers' Training Institute. Did research on methods of leaching geography and natural sci and on the local history and physical geography of the Urals. Supervised compilation of first Soviet teaching map of Urals.
Correspondent member, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Academy of Pedagogical Sciences from 1945.
