Spent his childhood in Britain. In the diplomatic service in Belgrade before World War I. Close to the Cadets before 1917. Continued working in the Foreign Affairs Ministry after the communist take-over, October 1917.
Arrested, 1920. After his release, worked as a librarian at the VSNKH. Became a follower of the philosopher,
N. Fedorov. During the Stalin purges, arrested as a Trotskyite, 1929. Sent to the Gulag camps, where he died of typhoid.
