After graduate worked at clinics for nervous diseases under Professor V. K. Rot and Professor L. South. Minor. From 1929 head Neurological Section and co-founder and sci director, Moscow Neurosurgical Clinic (later Institute of Neurosurgery). Did research on the localization of functions.
Described cerebellar thread syndrome, quadrigeminal lid syndrome, and ape’s foot syndrome. Studied the semiotics of the fundus of the third cerebral ventricle, the diagnosis of extramedullary tumors of the spinal cord and tumors of the postcranial fossa. Also did research on the visual perception of light, color and shape and on stereoscopic vision.
Studied the localization of vestibular vertigo, the pathogenesis of myasthenia and epilepsy, dextrality and sinistrality, et cetera Wrote 42 works.
