In 1941 Vasiliy participated in the Vaukavysk defense. Since February 1942 he was the political director of the partisan company, acting brigade chief of staff, in March-July 1943 he was the commissioner of the 1st Osipovichsky guerrilla brigade, then commander of the Stalin partisan detachment. In May-July 1944 Glotov was a commander of the Osipovichi military-operational group, which was part of the Mogilev guerrilla unit. On June 28 – July 03 in 1944 the Osipovichi group joined forces with the Red Army. Since 1944 Vasily was on soviet and party work.
