Vasily Dmitrievich worked at an state farm as a hammerer. In 1941-1945 he fought in the Great Patriotic War. After graduating in 1956, he worked as a school teacher of literature for a quarter of a century.
His first literary work was printed in 1974. Then he was published in the magazine "Zvezda" and in the newspaper "Literaturnaya Rossiya". Maslovsky Vasily is the author of novels, short stories and narratives (mainly on the topic of war): "Na Srednem Donu' (1975), "Russkaya zemlya seredinnaya" (Voronezh, 1978), "Poslednyaya strada" (Voronezh, 1981), "Doroga v dva kontsa" (Moscow, 1989) and others.
