Education
Graduated from the private ballet school of L. R. Nelidova in Moscow.
Career
Lived abroad from 1915. With Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, 1916-1926. Appeared in ballets choreographed by L. Massine and B. Nijinskaia.
Founded, with A. Dolin and A. N. Obukhov, the Nemchinova-Dolin Ballet, 1927. Made guest appearances in Great Britain, then in the USA in M. Mordkin’s company. Appeared in the Kaunas Opera, 1931-1935, then in the Ballets Russes de Monte-Carlo.
Gave guest performances in the USA and Australia. Taught at the Ballet School in New York from 1947, then at her own school of classical ballet from 1962.
