Member of the “Mariano Moreno” Young Peoples’ Committee which supported the candidacy of Bernardo de Irigoyen for the presidency of Argentina, 1885. Founder and director of the review Juventud Literaria and of the political weekly El Cívico, 1889. Secretary of the First Radical Young Peoples" Committee, 1891.
Pronounced his first radical speeches in Buenos Aires, 1892.
Private secretary to the governor of Buenos Aires (Doctor Bernardo de Irigoyen), 1898. Declined the post of member of the Superior Tribunal of Justice of Tucumán, 1898.
Alternate professor in the Faculty of Law of Buenos Aires, 1899. Full professor, 1921-1923.
Partisan of the radical revolution of 1905.
Declined the post of diplomatic representative to Brazil, 1909. Deputy from the Federal Capital, 19121919. Senator, 1919-1923; Minister of the Interior, 1923-1925.
