At the end of the school Victor entered the Omsk Agricultural Institute, the hydrotechnical faculty. In 1978 Victor Ivanets graduated from the Institute in absentia. In 1988, graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Council of Ministers of the USSR with the distinction of economics, organization, management and planning of the national economy.
Victor Ivanets consistently defended his Ph.D. (1995) and doctoral (2000) dissertations in the field of engineering. In 1989, he studied at the German Academy of Karl Duisberg under the program "Management in Industry", in 1996 - at the American Center for the Exchange of Experience in Petroleum Management (New York). He has a state qualification certificate for the implementation of professional construction activities.
At the end of the school Viktor Ivanets worked as a driver for two years in the auto industry. In 1968 had an accident and was forced to transfer from the day to the correspondence department. Together with his classmate Vladimir Rinos, he decided to go to the North, to Nefteyugansk. In 1968 Victor Ivanets found a job in the specialized management of the 17 trusts of Spetsgazstroy.
In 1973, Minneftegazstroy separated from Gazprom, then several construction trusts were created. Trust "Spetsneftegazstroy", where he worked Victor, renamed the "Surguttruboprovodstroy". In 1973, he was appointed head of the Pravdinskoye field. In 1979, he was appointed head of the production and technical department of «Surguttruboprovodstroy». Victor Ivanets was transferred to «Yugansktruboprovodstroy». Appointed as the chief engineer of the SU-77. In 1980, Victor Ivanets was appointed Chief Engineer of the Yugansktruboprovodstroy trust, and in 1982 he was the manager of the major construction and installation trust «Surguttruboprovodstroy» «Glavtyutruboprovodstroya» of the Ministry of Oil and Gas Construction of the USSR.
From August 1978 to November 1982 Victor worked in the posts: the head of the production and technical department, the chief engineer of the construction department, the chief engineer, and then the manager of the construction and installation trust.
In 1988 he went to work in the Minneftegazstroy USSR as deputy head of the scientific and technical administration. His task was to ensure the implementation of scientific and production programs of the ministry.
In 1990 Viktor was appointed director of the All-Union Scientific Research and Design Institute of Engineering, Technology and Organization of Management of the Construction of the Oil and Gas Industry. In January 1991, the Institute was transformed into the Closed Joint-Stock Scientific and Project Implementation Society NGS-orgproekteconomika (ECMOS). The collective unanimously elected Ivants as general director.
Activity of Victor Ivanets for more than 15 years JSC NPVO "NGS-orgproekteconomika" (ECMOS) is aimed at preserving and developing the oil and gas industry.
Victor's children followed in the footsteps of their parents: daughter Ivanets Elena and son Ivanets Denis graduated from the State Oil and Gas Academy named after I. Gubkin; Denis is a candidate of technical sciences, specialist in the field of organization of offshore pipeline construction.
