Viktor Maksimovich Iskra

Viktor Maksimovich Iskra was born on April 22, 1919 in Borisoglebsk, Tambov Governorate (now Borisoglebsk, Voronezh, Russian Federation).

Education

Viktor Iskra graduated from the philological faculty of Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute in 1942, Academy of Social Sciences attached to the CPSU Central Committee in 1959.

Career

Viktor Maksimovich Iskra was a principal of the secondary school in Kalmyk village (Borisoglebsk District, Voronezh region) in 1942-1943. He was a Deputy Head of Stalin Region’s Department of National Education of the Ukrainian SSR in 1943-1945. In the same place, he was a Head of Culture Sector of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party (bolsheviks) of Ukraine in 1946-1947. He was at a party works in the Transcarpathian region of the Ukrainian SSR in 1947-1952. He was a lecturer, Deputy Director of Advocacy and Publicity Department of Voronezh Region’s CPSU Committee in 1952-1962. He was an educator, assistant professor, professor of the Department of History of the CPSU (since 1989 the Department of Political History) of Voronezh State University in 1962-1994.

Achievements

• Viktor Iskra is an author of over 100 works, including "Istoriografiya deyatelnosti KPSS po osushestvleniyu leninskogo plana industrializatsii strany" (Voronezh, 1978).
