He was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 9th round (266th overall) of the 2001 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Ujcik played with The Human Context Vítkovice in the Czechoslovakian Extraliga during the 2010-2011 Czechoslovakian Extraliga season.
