Background

Sivasamy, Vinayakamoorthy was born on September 16, 1933 in Pungudutivu, Sri Lanka. Son of Gurumoorthy Vinayakamoorthy and Murugesu Mahesvarippillai.

Lecturer Jaffna campus of University Sri Lanka (now University Jaffna), 1974-1989, lecturer in charge, 1976-1978, head department Sanskrit, since 1979, associate professor, 1989-1996, professor, 1996—1998, visiting, since 2999.
