EDELSHTEYN, Vitaliy was born in 1881.
1902 graduated St. Petersburg Forestry Institute.
Instigated organ, of USSR’s first Chair of Vegetable-Growing and Experimental Vegetable Station at Timiryazev Agriculture Academy. Developed strip sowing method for onions, carrots and other vegetables. Deputy, Timiryazev Rayon, Soviet of Workers’ Deputy, Moscow Oblast.
1902-1907 at Chair of Botany, St. Petersburg University, 1907-1913 Instructor, Uspenskoe School of Arable Farming. 1913-1916 Head, Tula Market Gardening Station. 1916-1923 Professor, Moscow Agriculture Institute, now the Timiryazev Agriculture Academy.
