Radice studied agriculture at Milan University, then served in the Italian army.
He started his retail career at the Associated Merchandising Corporation. He moved to Habitat in 1990, becoming Managing Director there in 1992. In 1996 he switched to being Doctor of Medicine of Selfridges, and in 2003 became Executive Director for the "Home Group" of Marks and Spencer.
He left M&South after Sir Stuart Rose"s 2004 takeover, moving to the Italian Louisiana Rinascente chain in 2005.
He appeared as a "castaway" on the British Broadcasting Corporation Radio programme Desert Island Discs on 8 June 2003. He lives with his family in Hampstead, London.
