He graduated from the Sumy Artillery School named after M.V. Frunze (1941), Voronezh Radio Engineering College (1948), Voronezh Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU (1956), radio engineering faculty of Voronezh Polytechnic Institute (1962).
Member of the Great Patriotic War. Since 1941 he was a deputy commander of command armored train of the 26th separate armored train division of the Voronezh Front, the 2nd Belorussian Front, and the 2 and Far Eastern Front. Since 1946, a mechanic, deputy head of the shop, secretary of the party bureau of the Voronezh plant of radio components (1951). Since 1956 - instructor, head of the department of the Voronezh regional committee of the CPSU. Since 1969 - Chairman of the Voronezh Regional Trade Union Council. Since 1973 - First Secretary of the Voronezh City Committee of the CPSU. In 1979-1989 - Chairman of the Voronezh Regional Committee of People's Control. In the 1990s he was the general director of the Voronezh Regional Public Fund for Disabled and War Veterans named after the 50th anniversary of the Victory.
