Vladimir graduated from the natural sciences Department, the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Moscow State University (1896).

Career

In the years 1904-1913 worked an Assistant Professor at Kyiv University. Since 1913 was a Professor, Head of the Department of Ecology and Entomology (1913-1921) at Voronezh Agricultural Institute. Since 1927, was a Professor at Saratov State University. Since 1930 was a Professor at Leningrad Agricultural Institute. Since 1945 was a Professor at Kyiv University, since 1946 was a Director of the Institute of Entomology and Phytopathology of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.

Achievements

He was the author of many works, including books: "Beet weevil and measures to combat it" (St. Petersburg, 1913); "Post-embryonic development and imaginal diapause of Lepidoptera" (Kiev, 1910); Honoured Worker of Science of the RSFSR.
