Lecturer there, 1916-1918. Professor at Perm University, 1918-1920. Taught history of art in Petrograd, 1920-1924.
Emigrated to France in 1924. Professor of Christian art at the St. Sergius Theological Institute, Paris, 1932-1952. Taught at the Catholic University at Louvain, Belgium, after World War II. Broadcaster with Radio Liberty in Munich in the 1950s.
Frequent contributor to Russian publications abroad.
