1916 arrested for revol propaganda. During Civil War drafted into Kolchak’s Army. November 1918 defected and joined Red Army.
1923-1928 secretary, cd staff, journal “Sibirskiye ogni”. 1926-1928 co-founder and leading member, Sibirian Writers’ Union. 1928 invited to Moscow by Gorky to work for State Publ House and journal “Kolkhoznik”.
Arrested by State Security organs.
