In 1979, Vladimir Mikhailovich graduated from the Cherepovets Higher Military Engineering College of Radio Electronics in the Faculty of Engineering. In 1990, he finished the Military Academy of the Signal Corps in Saint Petersburg.
Vladimir Mikhailovich became PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Engineering Sciences in 1994, Doctor of Pedagogy in 2002, Professor in 2003, and Honored Worker of the Russian Federation Higher Education in 2005.
Vladimir Mikhailovich Korovin was a colonel and did his service at units of the Transbaikal Military District, the Transcaucasian Military District, the Leningrad Military District, and the Moscow Military District.
In 2003-2006, he was Deputy Director for training and scientific activities at the Military Institute of Radioelectronics. Since 2006 he is the Director of the Educational Programmes of Voronezh State University, and Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at Voronezh State University. The main scientific interests include: the history of military education in Russia, and professional development of students.
Vladimir Mikhailovich Korovin is the author of more than 170 scientific papers, including monographies published in Voronezh. He was published at such journals as "Pedagogika" ("Pedagogy"), "Vysshee Obrazovanie v Rossii" ("High Education in Russia"), "Voenno-istorichesky Zhurnal" ("Military-Historical Journal"), and others.
