Wakiiratsuko Ujino studied under Achiki and Wani, two envoys from Korea who came to his father's Court.
It is said Wakiiratsuko Ujino once received a message from Kokuri (a country of Korea)but as it was couched in impolite tones hetore it up in a rage in the presence of the envoys.
Beloved by his father, he was instituted Crown Prince, but refused to ascend the throne upon the death of his father (310) and finally committed suicide thus leaving the throne to his elder brother Sasagi-no-Mikoto who is known as Emperor Nintoku.
