Instructor in Hebrew, 1891-1892, assistant professor, 1892-1900. acting professor Hebrew language and literature, 1900-1901. Hoyt professor, since 1901, Rochester Theological Seminary. Librarian, Rochester Theological Seminary, 1901-1913. ordained Baptist ministry, 1892, but never held pastorate.
