Walter Selove, American Physicist. Achievements include patents for radar, first "fast-chopper" neutron spectrometer; discovery of 3d meson resonance; first observation of hadron jets from quarks; development of first 2-dimensional particle calorimeter, of advanced techniques for study of heavy quarks. Fellow American Physical Society.
