Chen, Wei Yeu was born on October 25, 1936 in Wu Chuan, Kwangtung, China. Son of Yuan Ying Chen and Shao Ying Lin.

  • Achievements include research in technique of functinal integral to solve the problem concerning the effects of collective pinning on topological order-disorder phase transition in type-II superconducting films. Development of a quantum theory, with full hamiltonian including kinetic energy, elastic energy, and random energy for vortex lattice. Development of theory for thermally activated vortex bundles flow over the directional dependent energy barries and applying the theory to solve the anomalous hall effect in type II superconductors.
