(As the Archduke of a wealthy Austrian duchy, Varek Von Vi...)
As the Archduke of a wealthy Austrian duchy, Varek Von Vishering has but one duty--to provide his family lands with an heir. But despite his overpowering love for his wife, Christina, Varek's happy union has produced one heartbreaking loss after another. Now, with political unrest threatening his rule and advisors calling for divorce, the handsome aristocrat fears for his beautiful wife's safety. Even though he is forced to set her aside, never does he expect her to vanish from his home and his life... Christina would never be able to stand by and watch her beloved husband take another woman as wife. Instead, she flees, finding asylum in the arms of a British nobleman, bearing his son, and living an anonymous, staid life. But everything changes years later when Christina accompanies her husband to a political congress in Austria, a fateful meeting that will bring her face-to-face with her past and the one man she can never forget... Now, in the glittering ballrooms of Vienna, Christina and Varek find that the years have not dimmed the fiery passion they have both tried to deny, a hunger that will take them to the edge of desire and endanger everything they hold dear... Originally published in 2001, this amazing story of love and sacrifice has been given a fresh update and a new ending, that will preface Sergei's own love story, which is long overdue.

(Sarah Montrose is the illegitimate daughter of four gener...)
Sarah Montrose is the illegitimate daughter of four generations of illegitimate daughters. All she wants out of life is to live a life free of scandal, and most particularly, free of men and the calamity they tend to cause in the Montrose women’s lives. Her dream is to become an independent woman, and with the help of her cousin, who invites her to London to join in her business as a modiste to the demimonde, it is close to being realized. Working beside her free-thinking, self-sufficient cousin, Sarah realizes that women can be independent of men and actually thrive! Then one warm evening while attending the bohemian salon of Gabriel Rossetti, she bumps into the one man who is the very definition of her aversion to men, the Marquis of Deauville, Anthony Fitzhayne. From the moment they meet, there can be no denying the magnetic pull that brings them together time and again. Though he is charming, witty, and impossibly handsome, he is also conniving in the typical manner of his rakish peers and intent on having his way, no matter what she feels - and what he wants is her for his next mistress! Sarah soon finds to her utter horror, despite being fully aware of his arrogance and selfish persistence - and the knowledge that this man went through mistresses by the drove - that he is the one man she is unable to resist.

Burge was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of a writer.
Burge's writing career grew from her love of historical romance novels. A single mother since her now-grown son was a child, she worked as a stockbroker until her realization that she did not want him coming home to an empty house caused her to switch gears and start an interior design business that she could run from home.
Burge's first publishing attempt, a story sent to Cosmopolitan when she was a teen, was personally rejected by Helen Gurley Brown. Burge told Romance Reader's Cathy Sova that she threw away the two-page letter, an action she now regrets. But her fervor to publish was dampened, and she did not write again until 1995. The book, While You Slept, is actually her second published novel. Several editors showed interest in it, but Burge rushed to finish it when her mother, who was dying of cancer, sent her away and told her not to come back until it was done. She completed it in two weeks and mailed it. The book in that form was rejected, and after Burge's mother passed away, she moved in with her father and began her first published novel, Love Me Again.
The story is set in 1808. Christina and her husband, Varek Von Vischering, Archduke of Austenberg, are deeply in love, but when she suffers her seventh miscarriage, by law Varek is forced to divorce her and seek another wife to provide an heir. He does, but as his daughter is born, his second wife dies, leaving him a widower who finds solace with a number of mistresses.
Christina finds her way to England where she marries Robert St. Pole, and they have a son they name Eddie. When she and Robert attend an event in Vienna, Christina and Varek meet again. He is upset because she has remarried, and she tells him she could not have remained and been his lover. But they are drawn to each other by their still-burning, all-consuming passion.
Julie Singleton wrote at Escape to Romance online that "Burge's obvious knowledge of the intricacies of European policy at this historical time in Napoleonic history lends a substance to her work. . . . Burge aptly captures the tortured hearts of her main characters as Europe races towards war and Christina and Varek race toward a final confrontation." Booklist's John Charles called Love Me Again "a romance perfect for readers who enjoy richly detailed, sensuously passionate historicals." Kathe Robin said at Romantic Times online that "Burge's fresh voice and powerful, emotional writing style shows she has promise."
