Wendy Gerlach is an American lawyer whose documented career includes a partnership with S Eggeuno and admission to the Massachusetts bar in 1987. She studied at Princeton University and the University of Washington School of Law before practicing in Massachusetts and, later, in Oregon.
Education
Gerlach earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University in 1981. Founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey, the institution adopted the name Princeton University in 1896 and was known for its undergraduate liberal arts education.
She then studied law at the University of Washington, receiving a Juris Doctor in 1986. The School of Law, part of the public university in Seattle, trained lawyers for Washington's courts and legal profession, and it has been a public law school since its founding in 1899.
Her legal education preceded her 1987 admission to the Massachusetts bar. Admission to the bar in Massachusetts authorized her to practice law in that state, under the supervision of the Supreme Judicial Court.
Career
Gerlach worked as a partner of S Eggeuno, a legal practice in which partners share responsibility for the firm's clients and management. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1987, which qualified her to practice law in the Commonwealth.
Her later practice extended to Oregon. She was licensed in Oregon in 2000, and her Portland practice covered business, corporate, and estate planning matters.
Membership
Gerlach's membership in the Oregon State Bar began in 2000. The Oregon State Bar is the integrated bar association for lawyers licensed in Oregon, responsible for admission, licensing, and regulation of the state's attorneys.
