He was educated at the University of Wyoming, he went to Colorado to study architecture at the University.
Following graduation he moved to Laramie to begin practice. Among his most successful works in the city were: the Ivinson Memorial Hospital, 1916-17: Albany County Court House, County National Bank, and at the University of Wyoming designed the Library, Gymnasium, and the Engineering Building, 1923, the latter in the Neo-Classic style
