William Fleming Cadge Served with Royal Air Force, 1941-1943; with United States Army Air Force, 1943-1945. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art.
William Fleming Cadge has concentrated on his own photography since 1976, but for fifteen years prior to that he was art director of Redbook Magazine. From 1957 to 1961 he was associate art director of McCalls and from 1956 to 1957 an art director for the advertising firm Doyle Dane Bembach. William Fleming Cadge served as a designer for Women's Home Companion magazine, 1950-1952, and for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, 1950-1952.
Cadge's photographs serve as illustration for advertising, editorial and corporate clients. During his years at Redbook, he photographed over a hundred covers and took numerous photos to illustrate articles, features and fiction.
