In 1968 William studied at Memphis State University.

Career

William worked as an announcer at the Station WONA Radio in Winona, Mississippi, United States from 1962 to 1967. In this year he became a switcher at the Station WKNO-television in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. He worked there for a year.

From 1968 to 1981 he was a producer, director of the Station WMC-television.In 1981 he worked as a broadcast production director at the Walker and Associate Advertising. He worked there for two years. Since 1983 William was a co-owner of the Cottingham television Productions in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Also, he was a member of the board directors of the Orion Productions in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.
