He was educated in the city schools of Springfield, and after a course of architectural study at the University of Illinois, graduated in 1909.
Mr. Schulzke was first associated in practice with the late W. H. Whitsitt, but after a few years carried on work under his own name. His practice in Moline was general in character, including the William Carr School (1916); First Congregational Church; Logan School (1919); Church of Christ Scientist (1923) and the Elks Building, 1924. In the early 1930’s he was appointed Supervising Architect of the Moline Airport, also prepared plans for several large commercial buildings.
