Background
He was the son of William Fowler Mountford Copeland and father of Mary, 1912–2003. Irene,1914–1996; and John, born 1917-1946 after whom were named the varieties of daffodils "Mistress William Copeland", ‘John Evelyn’, ‘Irene Copeland’ and ‘Mary Copeland’.
