This volume discusses the genesis of lipid hypotheses as well as reviews the pertinent pathology of atherosclerosis, familial hypercholesterolemia and cholesterol fed animals. The book also discusses the nature of the epidemiological evidence in support of lipid hypothesis, relevant vital statistics, role of risk factors and basis of the inherent difficulties in prevention and regression of atherosclerosis.
