As architectural draughtsman and traveled in Europe. Was chief draughtsman on the State Capitol building, Des Moines, Iowa, 1882, then opened office. Practiced in Altoona, Pennsylvania, 1887-1890.
Moved to Philadelphia, to design the new shops for Baldwin Locomotive Works.
Has designed many banks, schools, churches, theatres, business blocks, county court houses public buildings, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.
Fellow American Institute Architects. Member National Fire Protection Association, Franklin Institute, American Civic Association, Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, William Penn Highway Association (governor).
