Wrote for Atlanta Luminary Horticulturist, Gardener’s Monthly.
Assistant editor newspaper Southern Cultivator, 1862, assumed full control, 1863, maintained paper throughout Civil War. Member 9th Regiment, Georgia State Guards, 1863-1864.
