Wounded at Love-joy’s Station, Georgia. Placed upon the Roll of Honor for gallantry at Frederick City, Maryland.

After war served in Georgia cavalry.

4 times in command of troops for riot duty. Engaged in cotton business, Savannah, Georgia, since 1854. Senior partner West. West. Gordon & Сompany.

Vice president Merchants National Bank, 1894-1898.

President Savannah Cotton Exchange, 1876-1879, Savannah Benevolent Association, 1890-1891.
