Weng, Xinzhi was born on May 10, 1919 in Ningpo, Zhejiang, China. Son of Van-lan and Van-zhen (Chen) Weng.

Career

Assistant instructor, Medical School Peking (China) U., 1946-1949; visiting physician, assistant professor, Control People's Hospital, Beijing, 1949-1957; director medical department, Beijing Sino-Soviet Friendship Hospital, 1957-1965; deputy director hospital, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, 1957-1997; professor, Capital U. Medical Sciences, 1979-1997. Head World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Tobacco or Health China, since 1986.
