Background

Mr. Woo was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China, in 1885.

Education

Woo Y. K. graduated from Soochow University in 1906. He attended Columbia University, Teachers' College, and Union Seminary in New York, U.S.A., during 1921.

Career

Upon return to China, he was appointed an executive secretary of the Publication Department of the National Committee Y.M.C.A. of China. Mr. Woo served successively as an editor-in-chief of "China's Young Men", "Progress", "Association Progress". Woo Y. K. held the post of a trustee of Soochow University and Chairman of the Laymen's Christian Movement of M.E.S. in China since 1932.
